On Stability

Change is a part of life and happens all of the time – whether we choose embrace it or not, we’ll either change through the months and years of our lives as individuals, or inevitably the world around us will.

At the same time, however, it’s important to have some sense of stability.

Contradictory?

Could appear to be so, but as much as some of us may enjoy constant change, it’s necessary to have some form of stability in order to stay grounded to our values and move forward.

To have a place where we can hang our hat at the end of the day and find a sense of tranquility.

An opportunity to unwind and reflect.

It doesn’t have to be a physical space either – it could even be with another human being. Something or someone with whom we’re able to find an immense sense of stability.

It could even be something tangible.

This provides us with real opportunity to grow and welcome change, knowing that there’s a space for us during the day, regardless of the time, to plant our feet firmly on the ground and work towards that next step, or maybe just enjoy where we’re at in that moment.

We cannot achieve much without a certain sense of stability. Regardless of where we find it.

We make real strides forward – we take on real change – to the best of our abilities when we have some type of order.

When we have some type of stability.
